SUMMARY REMARKS & TESTBEDS
In LoWIntEr, we will deploy an existing wireless irrigation control system basedon LoRaWAN, which was initially developed for the agricultural market in theUnited States, in LOG-a-TEC testbed. The LoRaWAN system will be re-programmed to work in a compliant manner in European Union, and tested in asimulated environment with high levels of noise and interference, which will beprovided by the testbed. The goal of the experiment is to find the highest levelsof noise and interference, up to which the communication in both directions (tothe wirelessly connected controllers, and back from the controller to theLoRaWAN gateway) is reliable enough for successful operation, in order toestablish a baseline for further improvements and experimentation.
