Launch of Fed4FIRE+ webinar series
Since 2012, Fed4FIRE+ and its predecessor Fed4FIRE built, and run the largest federation of Next Generation Internet (NGI) experimentation facilities in Europe including also the federation with US GENI (instaGENI and exoGENI testbeds) and US Cloudlab.
Fed4FIRE+ offers a heterogeneous set of facilities covering technologies ranging from Wired networking, Software Distribution Network (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Wireless networking testbeds, 5G testbeds, IoT testbeds, Cloud, Big Data that are accessible with a single account via the jFed tool.
Fed4FIRE+ launches a series of webinars that aims at providing open and reliable access to the use of its federated facilities to execute tests on a variety of technologies with a single access all around the world.
Join us and discover the Fed4FIRE+ webinars that will drive you through the use of the different testbeds.
Webinar #3 | GPULab testbed
GPULab is a distributed system for running jobs in GPU-enabled Docker-containers. GPULab consists out of a set of heterogeneous clusters, each with their own characteristics (GPU model, CPU speed, memory, bus speed, etc.), allowing the user to select the most appropriate hardware. Each job runs isolated within a Docker containers with dedicated CPUs, GPUs and memory for maximum performance.
This webinar will provide an overview of the GPULab resources, the different ways of experimenting with GPULab and a hands-on tutorial experiment.
The intended audience is hands-on experimenters who want to use (large) testbeds to put their research on a higher level. Background required: basic linux know-how and know how to use ssh to login on a remote computer.
All tutorial material is available online at https://doc.fed4fire.eu and/or https://doc.ilabt.imec.be.
See the links above for examples.
Registration to the webinar is free, but mandatory.
